Hi, sorry you are going through this stress and worry. I'm not a doctor but to be honest, have faith in your doctors, they can usually tell if a lump is worrying and if they are unsure, they will send you for an ultrasound and more tests. The steroids should take your inflammation down but if it doesn't get on the phone again and tell them that you are worried. Lymphoma comes with lots of other symptoms like night sweats, loss of appetite and weight loss, fatigue. Your swelling may be your glands doing what they are supposed to, maybe fighting infection. Let your steroids do their job, it's a worrying time but try not to worry, just keep a check on your lump, check under your arm as well and your groin. Take care xx

ENT was the first hospital appointment I had, he put the camera up my nose to look at my throat, he then sent me for a biopsy with ultrasound. Without a biopsy they can't really tell but they do have the experience on which lumps are abnormal. Hopefully it won't be anything, mine was a hard lump and didn't move about. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. X

I'm a 20 year old male, I also suffer bad from health anxiety.

so around a week ago I noticed a small lump under my skin under my jaw line I think where the glands are.

I am so scared if it could possibly be cancer and I've consulted dr google many of times and my head is fried and I don't know what to do. I'm so scared to go to the go incase they give me the worst outcome possible.

I don't show any other symptoms I don't have night sweats I don't have lose of weight (not that I know off) 

I'm just scared as I really don't fancy dying young not at this age :( 

I feel like I'm going on a bit here but I just need some reassurance I really don't know how to deal with this health anxiety.

Hello I'm 15 I suffer with bad anxiety/health anxiety, and about 4 weeks ago.I was playing my PS4 and then noticed 2 small lumps on the left side under my jaw, o went and told my mum right away she said she had the same thing when she was little and it was the size of a golf ball and she had no symptoms and was very healthy, what they said to her was they thought it was cancer and she had an ultrasound and it came back as a swollen gland that hasn't gone down, she has it removed immediately and 20 years later she is very healthy, back to me my mum rung up the doctor who understand my anxiety, she said if it doesn't go down or decrease in size in 4 weeks come and see me and I'll get it checked for you and will run a ultrasound, to this day I keep googling and heading words like "cancer" etc and I have no following symptoms other then the small  2 lumps, I am very worried yes, but you need to put your trust in your doctors, I've read loads of things why I might have these lumps but it's still early!!! It's always best to get stuff like this checked out at an early stage rather then late, please inform me an update from your last writing, please try not to worry !!
