I’m sorry to learn about your situation. I can appreciate you want to get as much information as possible before you get your biopsy results but unfortunately it is not possible to anticipate what they are going to tell you. It’s not uncommon to fear the worse but it’s also possible that nothing serious may be the matter.

Waiting in these circumstances is never easy and I’m afraid there is no real way round this. Some people find sticking to a routine and keeping busy and talking to family and friends can sometimes help. But until you know more it’s natural to worry.

I hope you know more about your situation soon.

thanks for your reply - I’ve kept my research to your site and other organisations. He’s the lymph node addition that worries me most.

I’ll keep busy this weekend and try forget it’s happening for a few days.

I am in the same situation- waiting is horrible- what I want to know is how could the man doing my ultrasound be 99% sure it’s cancer without the biopsy results?? Maybe he has just prepared me xx

Such a kind reply. Thank you. You’re likely right - I was white and because I went alone, I don’t know if I saw what wasn’t there. Roll of Thursday (I think!) 

They see it day in day out but there is always that 1% to focus on. I asked what else the mass could be and they wouldn’t answer - that freaked me out loads! 

Were both going to worry - waiting is the worst! I’m going to ask for results on the phone Thursday too. Not waiting until I go in as that’s unfair for them to expect me to!

In the years I've been hanging around on this forum, I've discovered a few rules that I think can help.

One of these rules is that you should never try to read anything into the funny looks, silences, gasps or whatever from doctors and nurses. They're doing a job that requires intense focus, and silences, etc, are to be expected as they put all their concentration into doing it just right.

I was told I need to go into the hospital as they don’t give results over the phone . 2 more days to wait xx keep in touch , x I hope you get on ok

How did you get on? I have similar symptoms and the 2 week wait for tests is causing me more anxiety than I know how to deal with.
