Me too,  I accidently  found a black spot/mole on my perineum  and was sent to my Gyn she did a routine smear at the same time, only to find a large polyp on my cervx, smear and removal/biopsy polyp was done. 

My Gyn  adviced a follow up ultra sound, which I did,  the radiographer found a thickened endometrium 8mm (I'm postmenopausal)  and an area that was difficult to define. The radiographer adviced a hysteroscopy. 

Follow up  with Gyn, my smear and polyp biopsy came back clear. 2 weeks ago I had a hystoroscopy/biopsy and biopsy of my black spot under GA.

I have to wait another 4 weeks for my follow up appointment for my 2 different biopsys, the wait is  soooo difficult.

I went to doc as I suspected a cyst which I’d had before, don’t know what made me go as I hadn’t really had many other symptoms just some light post menopausal bleeding which was fairly inconsequential, so glad I did otherwise it wouldn’t have been found I’d probably have carried on as I was.
