Hi everyone,
I've come into contact with cancer before, my lovely Mum was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer in 2008. She bravely fought it for almost a year before it claimed her, it was not very nice!!
For the last 12 /18 months I've not had any period, I'm 52 now. My doc told me is gone through the menopause, I had slight shows of either blood or a brown discharge on and off.
Then in March i had quite a bit of blood and very large blood clots for about 3 days, which I was concerned about, I went to the doc's the next day and he said that I would be referred to the hospital for tests.
During the last 12 months or so I've also been experiencing excruciating stomach pain, it will suddenly come on, even bending over can cause me to be double up on pain.
Anyway, I've been to the hospital, I've had a hysteroscopy and biopsy, the most painful thing that I've ever had done, no anesthetic.
Now is the wait, I've had a slight discharge and stomach ache since the hysteroscopy, the doc at the hospital didn't say how long it would take for the results to come through so really worried!!!
How long should I wait for the results from the biopsy and do i hear via letter, my own doc or phone call?
