  • Hi there ...

Wer all here rooting for your son ... I'm so glad you found another mum who's in the same place ... you will help each other through ... but if you ever need to vent, or chat or just anything ... you'll find a place here that's sort of "home" where anything goes .. and the one thing in common ... we've all been touched by this crule, unforgiving cancer .. so here's to the best boxing gloves money can buy .. and together let's TRY and kick it's *** ....

    Big vertual hug. . Chrissie

    Hi CareBear,

I am so glad to hear that your sister is giving you the support that you need at this time. I am also happy to hear that your son has tolerated his first round of chemo and I hope that tomorrow's goes well too.

It is good to hear that he managed to take his girlfriend to the cinema and also to go out with his uni friend to play pool. Even having a beer with his friend, must have been a move in the right direction. It's amazing how these little milestones all add up and, it is a real feat to get back to doing "normal" things.

You sound as if you are trying to keep a positive outlook and to maintain some "normality" in your life. This should help you all in the long run.

Meeting another mother who's son of the same age as yours, also has Ewing's Sarcoma should prove to be very helpful. It is particularly good that he is 8 months down the line, as you should be able to gain from his experience as your son travels his cancer journey.

If you feel that it would help you, you will find other posts about Ewing's Sarcoma, by going to the blue banner at the top of this page. If you click on the search facility and enter Ewing's Sarcoma, this will bring you to previous posts on this topic.

Thinking of you all and, wishing you the strength to see his treatment through. Please remember that we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
