Hey all so ive been having some symptoms such as bleeding after sex, pain during sex and spotting in between periods for a few months. I went to the GP who made a referral on 9th july for gynecology pathway and colposcopy. I then attended for a smear test on 28th july which the nurse said my cervix is red. On 31st july I recieved a letter for a gynecology appointment on 10th august. Also on 31st July I had a nhs app notification for me to book my colposcopy appointment, earliest they had was october 2nd so ive booked this. However, with my gynecology appointment letter it included a leaflet about colposcopy that states "youve been referred due to abnormal cells being found on your smear". Im unsure if this is a generic leaflet they put inside the gynecology appointment letter in case you need a colposcopy and the gynecology appointment has simply been made following my appointment on the 9th or if my test results have come back usually quick and they've sent this leaflet on purpose. Has anyone had this before?
