Post menopausal bleeding.

My GP referred me to hospital under the 2-week rule because of post-menopausal bleeding. My appointment is tomorrow. I am tired, stressed and frightened. I feel exhausted and can’t settle to anything.

The waiting is awful. I keep letting my imagination run riot. My husband is the only person I’ve told.
Any words of wisdom on coping strategies please?

  • Hi Daisy Ive just been through this and resulted in having a hysterectomy not that that might happen to you!!! . I would keep yourself busy, avoid the Internet, I limited who I told so I could process it. See it as a step to finding out what is next.

    Hope your appointment went ok.

  • Hi Dollysocks, thank you for replying and I hope you are making a good recovery. The appointment had a good outcome in that it wasn’t as was feared but I am going to need surgery in the future.

i feel exhausted and wrung-out but I think that’s the come-down from all the stress. I’ve only told my husband. Thanks for your response, take care.
