Hi everyone
I went to my GP in Mat with an (existing I think ?) mole that had turned black and gred jagged edges . For reference I am very pale and all my moles are light brown. I was referred urgently to the hospital where a dermatologist said her impression was a dyplastic nevils - although I don’t recall her using a dermascope to come to that conclusion .
She decided to refer me for biopsy, which I had about 4 weeks ago .
The waiting is awful . I keep refreshing my NHS app and my emails , and checking to see if ive has any missed calls . It’s at the forefront of my mind constantly :( I only just received the letter to my gp which said the clinical diagnosis is Dysplastic nevus , to which I thought I was in the clear - but at the bottom it said pending histology, which was a let down . I called the clinic and they said it could be a further 4 weeks as they’re very busy in the summertime .
Has anyone been provisionally diagnose with a dysplastic nevus only for it to turn out to be worse ? Please be brutally honest. I have no idea what to expect .
THank you so much . All the love in the world
