About 6 weeks ago I had the same symptoms. I am 74 and my last period was many years ago. I waited a few days but then saw blood again and continued to have a bloody discharge every 6 days. I rang my gp and managed to get in the same day. 6 weeks on, i have had numerous tests and scans and been told i have stage 2 endometrial cancer. I am awaiting the cancer teams decision this week to tell me if i will be having a hysterectomy or, if the cancer has already spread, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. A complete bolt out of the blue. My life feels completely out of my control now. Please see a doctor as a matter of urgency.

Oh my goodness I’m so sorry you are going through this and thank you for sharing. So many emotions for you to process and you’re right, the loss of control is one of the things that scares me. 

I will definitely make an appointment on Monday.

Please go to the doctors. I had a post menopause bleed after 11 months I have pre cancerous cells. My bleed was bright red and for 5 days. Be brave and come on here or ring the nurses I did. The waiting for results is the worst. Please do not be alone. We are all here for you xxxx
