Hi there they do give you pain relief by injection if you need it ,I actually did need it as they were taking biopsies ,also ask if they can use a smaller speculum when they first start ,I must say though they are so good at helping you get through it ,they couldn't have done more ,I hope everything goes well for you .....

Thanks for that. I have always been treated wonderfully by NHS staff but sometimes I feel like I’m being awkward if I make a fuss about the pain but I’m sure they will be great with me x

I don't think you'll have to ask ,from my experience they will ask you ,or tell you you they are giving it to you , there's absolutely no need to suffer ,its a big deal having a hysteroscopy ,I remember it well lol ,the good thing is they should be able to give you and idea if they see anything sinister or if everything looks ok ...
