I just googled it and it sounds like a form of proper pain relief so fingers crossed you find it works for you. In the setting I was in there was no pain relief offered apart from a bit of local anaesthetic in the cervix and I was told to take paracetamol an hour before the appointment. As I said the lady in before me had the procedure and managed fine and my GA was due to my ablation. Also if you decide it’s not going to be something you want to do absolutely just ask for a general. They were very clear to me that I didn’t have to have the hysteroscopy then and there at my consultant appointment but in a way I’d wanted it over and done with but hadn’t realised the extent to which my ablation would cause problems getting the camera in.
