You did well to ring when you had no results after waiting 4 weeks but I can imagine it was a little bit frustrating not to be given your results straight away when you were told they have received them but that they were unable to interpret them. It's nice that you were told not to worry but I think you could try and ring again and ask to speak to a doctor who can maybe give your further information about your results and tell you more about what they mean. 

I am not sure exactly in what order they were supposed to proceed but I hope that you find out more soon. There is information on our website on the colposcopy which will tell you more about what to expect from your appointment and how to prepare for it. Our cancer nurses are available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if you wanted to talk things through with them or ask them any questions so feel free to ring their helpline Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. 

There may be other members of our forum who have been in a similar situation before and who have had a colposcopy and followed similar steps to you and I hope that they will be along soon to share their experience with you.
