So two weeks ago I found a lump on the top of my right breast. I thought it was due to my period (as it was due next day) i waited a week and still lump was present. I spoke to my husband, he said to wait until next week if still there then doctors, Because he’s man not really familiar with female breast, I was kinda dismissive of his opinion and decided to ask a work friend (nurse is my background, so she was a mature nurse, so has seen a lot in her time) she said she felt a lump too and it could be potentially a blocked milk duct, however advised all lumps should be checked by doctor. That night I google how to unblock a milk duct and tried to massage the area as I was doing this I noticed bloody clear discharge from nipple. In which  I decided to contact doctor the next day. I was seen that day and he described the lump as ‘discrete lump with mild skin tethering” and referred me on the 2ww breast clinic. No nipple leakage now but skin keeps peeling around area making it itchy so I have to put Vaseline around it. I am so worried but at the same time I am like I can’t show because I am just overacting, I keep checking to see if it might of disappeared and I feel like my husband is judging me for it. And then the appointment itself I feel terrible because if it’s nothing then I’ve just wasted an appointment for someone who actually needed it. I just feel so guilty as well as worried if it is something.
