Tongue biopsy results in person normal?

Hi.

I had a tongue biopsy due to a white patch on my tongue that's been there a long time. Doctors kept saying it's from myp tooth rubbing.

Eventually I went to the dentists who said it was most likely Leukoplakia and did not look sinisterm they would refer me to the dental hospital 100% rule it out.

I went to the appointment and the consultant reiterated that it did not look sinister and to not lose sleep over it.

He referred me for a biopsy 2.5 weeks ago.

I just received a call asking me to go back to the hospital to see the consultant.

Is this normal even if the biopsy came back negative for cancer?

The other worrying factor is the receptionist said that there would be 2 clinicians there. Again is this normal?

I am terrified and feel sick with worry.
