  • Hi Beth,  I think it means that GP saw you last week, you had antibiotics but still have the lump in your armpit.  The GP is referring you to the breast clinic just to have everything checked out which is a good thing.  Sometimes it is deceptive because you can wait a bit longer that two weeks to be seen at the breast clinic.  When I was referred, on the day I had mammogram, scan and biopsy all done on the same day.  Then had to wait for the results.  If they don't find anything on mammogram or scan they will tell you there and then.  Have you got a date yet?  Good luck.

  • Hi Lee thank you for your response, no she just told me to keep my phone on as they will ring me with an appointment. How are you doing? Can I ask how you were diagnosed? Thank you so much ️ x

  • Hi Beth,  I never found a lump.  I noticed an indent in my left breast when I lifted up my arms.  The GP was in two minds whether to refer me to the breast clinic.  I am glad that she did because mine did turn out to be cancer.  Most people referred to breast clinic don't turn out to have cancer so yours might be good news.  Don't google as you will scare yourself silly.  Please let me know how you get on x  I am on here most days.

  • Oh my goodness Lee I am also glad the gp referred you!! Are you still going through treatment hun? It's so hard to stay of Dr Google isn't it?

I'm currently worried about my mum too at the moment, she beat stage 3 nasopharyngeal cancer nearly 3 years ago and now she can't hold her urine and there's blood in it and she has had a strong anti iotic for 7 and she still has symptoms so she's currently being investigated again under the 2ww. Can't seem to get a break. Really appreciate your kind words and support and hope to talk to you soon xx
