Hi everyone

i have become a nervous wreck over the past few months after the gp discovered i have microscopic blood in my urine, a referral was done to urology and since I have had bloods, acr urine tests that have both come back normal.

i was referred to urology and they ordered a kidney and bladder ultrasound scan and a cystoscopy.

today i have been for the cystoscopy and the urologist failed to be able to get the camera through my urethra so has suggested I have it done under a general which is booked for a months time, I also had the ultrasound scan which they said they could not see anything on.

i had urine cytology and the results are as follows:

This urine sample contains reactive urothelial cells, squamous

cells and occasional inflammatory cells. There are no papillary

groups no malignant cells seen in this sample.

I feel slightly reassured but not fully as I couldn’t obviously have the cystoscopy done today and now have another months wait but from my urine sample indicates inflammation but I’m unsure of the cause or what this means as I’m not testing positive for an infection and it’s sending me crazy I am so worried I can’t cope with daily life at the moment. Is there anyone that’s been in a similar position me that can shed any light I would be truly grateful.
