Went for my routine mammogram at 50 and they advised me I needed a vacuum biopsy. Results were inclusive and have to go back for a stereo biopsy. Scared, worried for tomorrow
Am I right in saying that this was the first of your routine mammograms? More people get recalled after this one than any other. This is because there is no previous image to compare their findings to. Not all biopsies give a clear view of the suspect site. It is always a worry when this happens, but it doesn't always indicate something untoward. I am glad to hear that you have your vacuum biopsy tomorrow. It is scary, but the sooner you have it done the better. I sincerely hope that all turns out well.
