2cm firm mobile lump found

Hi all,

I guess I am coming on here for some support as I am quite scared. I am a mum to 2 young children and I am now terrified.

I’ve had breast pain in my left breast for around 1.5 years now, only the left breast and it’s always very tender. Go back 1 year and the doctor found a pea sized lump, I went for an ultrasound (which I did feel was very rushed) and nothing was there apparently. So skip to today the pain has got worse and I have gone back to the doctors today

the doctor has found a “2cm firm mobile tender lump on lateral upper quadrant” so I am now being referred on the 2ww to breast clinic.

please could somebody who has had similar symptoms shed some hope on if you have had the same and everything was ok…

thank you for reading xx

  • Adding on… from the pea sized lump 1 year ago to it now being around 2cm I am scared whatever it may be has obviously grown and was potentially missed the first time. But I am over thinking like mad

  • A very warm welcome to the forum lottie123xo although I'm sorry to hear that you've been referred to the breast clinic after your doctor found a 2cm lump in your breast.

I know how scary this must be, especially since the lump has become more painful and grown slightly since you first became aware it, but try not to panic or think the worst if you can. Much easier said than done I know, but there is a strong possibility that the lump could be benign and hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar position will be along soon to share their outcomes with you.
