Have two neck lumps, both first noticed at different points early on in the year. One small, hard and fixed in the behind jaw/below ear area. This was tiny at first now about 3x the size. The other is deep neck/chin area, roughly inline with hyoid bone and about a fingers width across from it. This is about the size of a marble and hard but movable Have had consistent ear discomfort/fullness/tinnitus since January - all of these are on the right, same side as tonsil that's been almost twice the size of the other for over a year, possibly two. I'm 36, female, moderate smoker for over 20 years with a moderate risk for HPV
I booked today's appointment about five weeks ago as they're tricky to come by in our area lately. Called three weeks ago after a particularly bad night of whoosing tinnitus to ask if my appointment could be moved up. I managed to get a 5 minute phonecall appointment for the same day. Was told to keep this one and book in for bloods. At the end of the call I asked if there's any chance it could just be an infection and was prescribed antibiotics. No change during or after completing the course. Most blood results within normal bar low folate (2) and borderline low b12 (201) so at least that explains the recent exhaustion (sometimes even falling asleep on ADHD stimulants) and feeling low and anxious which is very out of character for me for several years now.
You know 'that feeling' of kind of feeling resigned to impending bad news. appointment isn't until afternoon, I'm trying to find the feeling of doing something without being around others who may notice my fretting as I don't want to worry anyone.
So what are your tips and tricks for the day of (and day before) appointments/results days, please?
I hope today will be kind to you all.
