Melanoma worry

Hello, 

I have a couple of small moles on my breasts, I’ve had them for a while, they’re very small and I’ve never really paid much attention to them. 
however I noticed the other day that they both now have black areas/spots on them. I took a couple of photos and sent them ti my GP who has booked an appt in for Monday. 
I have asked my husband this evening to check the moles on my back as I have a few there too. Looking at the pics a few other brown moles (various sizes) also have black areas/spots on them. 
One is quite raised and at times has been itchy but it’s not persistent. 
I’m starting to get quite worried. Why would a number of moles all have black spots in them? Is this a sign of melanoma?

    You can find out more about the symptoms of melanoma on our website and use these pictures we have of abnormal moles, melanoma and skin changes to get an idea of what to be on the lookout for but to get an answer to the question you've asked in your post, it would be best to give our cancer nurses a call.
