I had a hysteroscopy 3 weeks ago (29/1) along with a biopsy and mirena coil insertion, this was due to having irregular periods. My periods have been irregular since they started at age 13. This was the third or fourth time seeing a doctor about the problem.
Then on Wednesday (19/2) I received a call to book for an MRI scan, totally panicked I called the hospital and my gp to try and find out my biopsy results.
picked up my results the following day which confirmed ‘pre-cancerous changes to the womb lining’. I had the MRI the same day.
Recieved a letter today (22/2), giving me an appointment for a colposcopy next week.
I am terrified, it’s all happened so quickly, (which of course I’m grateful for) but I’m also finding it all quite overwhelming
