Dear anyone that reads this,
..I have posted on here somewhere before regarding my history of very busy breasts that have been found to have lots of different benign things going on in them. I found out after having a 5 cm fibroadenoma removed that unusually it was found to contain LCIS, hence the breast clinic keeping a close eye on me. My surgery was in 2022 and my yearly mammogram results have been uneventful. However my latest mammogram was on 17 th December last year and was told 2 weeks for results initially by the lady doing my mammogram....
Well it's now beginning of February so I rang breast clinic, rebooked my face to face consultation which I initially cancelled to a phone call one after I realised there was a delay in results. I was told while on the phone before I rebooked "don't you want to know the findings?" but of course wasn't allowed to hear results over the phone.
Then I received a letter with no mammogram results just saying" a member of the breast surgery team will phone you to discuss your treatment and answer any queries you may have".
My brain has been working overtime trying to make sense of this.
I contacted PALS to see if I could at least get my phone consultation bought forward to get results or at least for the breast clinic to post them to put me out of my misery.
It's hard counting down the days until I speak to the breast surgery team on 7 th March. I am beginning to think that I must be a very complex case ( they have had difficulties reading my mammogram before because of my extremely dense breasts)
I thought contacting PALS would help clarify things, after all a 5 mins phone call from someone would put my mind at rest.
So I am still waiting and waiting,.., I think it could be the longest wait ever soon! I can't find fault with the clinic while they are treating you but when it comes to mammogram results I really don't know what's going on.
If anyone has finished reading this I would be interested in your feedback.
Many thanks Guinea pig lover.xx
