Hi there! I’m 51 and had a post menopausal bleed about six weeks ago after being intimate with my partner. I went through the menopause about 10 years ago and had a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy about 8 years ago as I had a benign growth on my left ovary which grew to take up most of my pelvic cavity. Suddenly out of nowhere I have the most horrendous symptoms so am going to have an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound next week. Just over a week ago I started having very bad constant cramping and shooting pains similar to period pains, am very bloated, lower back pain and am just wiped out. When the go did an internal I was in tears as the pain was excruciating so she referred me on the 2ww. This hasn’t abated at all and it just feels like there is something there. I’ve had a fair amount of trans ultrasounds but I’m terrified about this one next week and not because of what they’ll find but because of the pain.
