  • I'm going through the same thing. I have drastic weight loss. Everyone is shocked at how much weight I've loss. I'm very scared.

  • Me too as people been saying I’m anorexic when usually love food & have always had to watch my weight! Other symptoms I hadn’t put together until recently plus already visited 2 different gps both saying nothing to worry about when actually now, it could be! Also get days sick as a pig where eating or trying to then makes it worse… anti sickness tablets are helpful but not all the time.
dodnt get my call today so will be chasing them promptly tomorrow as that’s the cut off day for being given test dates/types… so we shall see if I learn any more or not.
hope you also hear soon so can start to get answers xx

  • Having colonoscopy and endoscopy on Thursday. Having CT scan on Monday. So by Thursday I'll know if I have cancer. Losing all this weight so rapidly has just made me think I have end stage cancer. I'm utterly devastated! I hope you get some answers soon.

  • I take it they rang you and started the ball rolling that's good ,they might even tell you something on Monday after the scan if they see anything really nasty ,I know you're not looking forward to the tests but in a way it will be a bit of a relief because you know you're being seen at last ,I hope it goes well for you on Monday ,try to stay calm .

  • Hi jenny

how did you find ways to stay calm switch your brain off of thinking the “what ifs” as that’s my biggest issue the waiting to find out if anything shows up- no cancer obviously great! However then that surely means further explorations ahead too?
im such a worrier which doesn’t help matters & way overthink which is often why im seen as negative rather than positive overall… and yet i see a glass half empty because it can be filled back up rather than it’s nearly empty end of…. Suppose that is still rather negative though, isn’t it

tomorrow at 11 I’ll hear what tests where & how quickly so fingers crossed to moving forward finding the answers & getting back on track again

    C xx

  • The thing that kept me calm is the fact I had many blood tests done before I did the fit test and they were all within range so when the fit test came back abnormal  the doubts started to creep in ,but I couldn't change the result so just had to keep remembering blood tests were satisfactory and I thought what will be will be and the fact I'd been there before , I hope tomorrow goes smoothly for you and that your appointments are soon and as you say finding answers and getting back on track instead of in limbo .
