I'm told the MDT should be discussing me today as they have my biopsies and 2 scan results.

The cancer nurse offered to call me later today with an update post- meeting.

I know lots of people say this waiting is the hardest part and it gets easier, mentally, once you have a plan. But I'm terrified what they'll tell me. Wish me luck.

James4000 hi James I wish you all the luck in the world  I was thinking maybe this is the hardest waiting to hear your results and what can be done for you as I know it will be for me. I’m still waiting for a scan but it’s still in the 2 eeek pathway  please keep us informed  lots of love  x

I very much hope that no news after 5 weeks and the timescales they've told you suggest a different and less problematic finding for you.

I'm at the Dr now just for them to check there's nothing else awry. I think they're worried about me getting "blocked up" and that causing this recent discomfort. I still have BMs though, so I'm hoping that's not the case now, and that with treatment likely starting fairly soon it won't become an issue. Maybe I just ate too much or too much fibre yesterday or something.

Fingers crossed. It's been (relatively speaking) quite encouraging news recently, so I'm trying to stay positive. Could really do with things to trend in the right direction

Re my timescale for results.. I agree with you..it was my G.P who  my cough and breathlessness and queried whether it was related to my asthma.. he actually said.. I think you have bowel cancer  no preamble just right out there...

James 4000 hi James I get the same as you I have smal bm but lots of wind and some times like you I get a bit of disscomfort across the bladder area just hoping not getting blocked up but I was told if you can pass wind there isn’t a blockage  good luck James my thoughts are with you

Cooled boiled water is great for dispersing trapped wind... same remedy as used for colicky babies..

No worries Chantetz hope it helps, another thing is peppermint CORDIAL ...mint /warmth ( hot water bottle or heat pad) and gentle massage are all good at relieving the pain of trapped wind..such a painful condition..

I've had a full body CT with contrast. The machine has more space than an MRI but the dye makes you feel like you might wee yourself. I still prefer it to the MRI. They gave me one when they thought I might have ovarian cancer which, thankfully, I didn't. It's stressful waiting for it and the results. The actual scan isn't so bad x
