Colon, small bowel, ileum : entirely confused

Hi all

So I had a very abnormal CT scan, then - far too many weeks later, an MRI which wasn't too bad.

It was double checked that CT scan was definitely mine.

I had a colonoscopy booked which was then cancelled.

My Nephrologist, I believe, got me booked in with a Colorectal Consultant.

My colonoscopy was booked back in.

Now I also have an appointment with a Gastroenterologist.

And I have not had the colonoscopy yet.

I am completely confused.

CT : wall thickening, stranding.... 'looks like Crohn's'. Distal ileitis.

I think there is no blood in my poo, but there is something else indicating inflammation which is throughout my entire colon and small bowel and ileum.

Always constipated (since birth). Been having bouts of excruciating spasms with vomiting, for years.

These may go off if I lie entirely still. Otherwise I may use a toothbrush down my throat to get it over with.

Had one bout of uncontrollable burning hot molten larva, more recently.

Very complex health. All sorts going on in my blood lately I am told. A drip helps when ultra poorly. Last one was for two days the other week, after BP dropped and heart rate was high.

Inflammation is high but nowhere near as high as Celiac, bless those poor darlings. However, gluten free diet helps me 'a lot'.

I cannot understand why an appointment has just been made for me, with a Gastroenterologist, before my colonoscopy (and biopsies). What's new? Nothing.

The Gastroenterologist is the same Surgeon or, I believe, the jnr. Surgeon, who has been looking after me with the Surgeon, via A&E, from the start, God bless these (very hard working) men.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

I cannot wait to be less confused. Diet confusion alone, at one point, was completely blowing my mind.

The different scan results also blew my mind.

I really am completely and utterly confused.

Oh! I think my (repeated) FIT test was about 16, so there is blood in my poo then. ?

But the people who do that test said all clear and next test in so many years.

What? I think the systems are trying to send me mad and in fact, in the end, they did.
