Hi,
I noticed a small lump on the back of my head and went to urgent care at the time they were thinking it may be an infection, a few weeks go by and I'm in at the GP as its grown and gotten more painful... I then get booked in for an MRI to which they say they aren't sure what it is so the next week a biopsy... at which stage he says its a lot different from the MRI so need a CT scan which I have the week after.... it's now been 4 weeks from the biopsy and I've had no results. Chased a few times, been back for more pain meds as the pressure headaches I am getting are intense, but still no results. Is it normal to take this long?
Had 3 weeks off work then went back last week as worried about pay, but am absolutely exhausted after doing a week back. And the waiting and unknowing what it is or the next steps is making me feel awful.
This lump has grown substantially and feels like a tennis ball solid on the back of my head. I can't sleep properly as can't lay on my back and have to be propped practically upright on loads of pillows.
My husband is getting at me saying I should be forming good habits, and shouldn't be sat around taking it day by day and should sort myself out and be planning for my life, and all I want to do is rest but can't even get comfortable enough to do that properly.
Has anyone ever had a lump like this on their head and able to share any advice? What do you do to keep yourself sane waiting?
