Hi Beaumont44,
I just wanted to say we are thinking of you during this stressful time. I guess the MDT meeting was today and I hope that you get an appointment soon to find out exactly what is going on. It's completely normal to be scared when dealing with all this uncertainty at the moment and after having been through all these tests.
Let us know what you find out - you are not alone though and many members of our community have been through this before and will hopefully come and say hello soon and share their stories with you. While you are waiting, as there is nothing harder than waiting for a diagnosis, I thought I would share with you our helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for news.
Best wishes,

Thankyou for your response , nothing today but hoping a phonecall in the morning x
Hi still struggling with thd chemo. Her scan results came back stable. Beth was hoping for some news on shrinkage. She has had a 2 week break as chemo is really making her body struggle. Next round on Monday. This is a rollercoaster she is on and no getting off at the moment. How are you doing? Xx

Hi Beth is having surgery today to have a stoma fitted. Hopefully this will relieve her symptoms xx
Hi anything that helps is good , how does she feel about it ? I suppose it's a daft question because obviously don't want any of this but if it helps her get through it then it's a positive , hope you're keeping ok ...lots of love xx
Hi, I hope having a stoma fitted will help the symptoms Beth is having. I had a traumatic tme which I am still recovering from. On January 16th I was due to have my third chemotherapy but it was cancelled because of constipation. It was being caused by the tumour blocking my bowel. They attempted to put a stent onto the tumour but 3-4 hours later I was screaming in pain and had a peri arrest and thought I was dying. The stent perforated my bowel and ruptured the tumour. I was told that it was unlikely I would survive. I had my large bowel completely removed and had to have a stoma. I really didn't want it but in reality it has saved my life. Has Beth finished her chemotherapy? Sending hugs and thinking of Beth today. Xx
Sorry to hear this must have been so scary. No she has 3 to go. Not sure how long she will need to recover before she can have more chemo x
Thank you, yes it was the worst thing I've ever been through. It could take 8 weeks initially to recover and they say 3 months full recovery. I'm sure she is strong and fit and will get through this. Please let me know how she is after her operation. Thinking of you and Beth xx
Hi she wanted the stoma hope it works out ok x
Beth is in recovery, in a lot of pain. Operation went well x

I hope she recovers well and is given plenty of pain medication. She will probably be a bit overwhelmed by the stoma at first. It took me a few days to get over the shock. At least Beth knew she was having it and may not be as bad. Sending lots of love xxx
Yes she was pushing for this. I just feel a bit anxious about her not being able to continue with her treatment. Not sure how long she will have to wait xx
Hi how are you ? How is beth getting along with the stoma , its only early days so i imagine it takes a bit of getting used to and hope it's relieved her symptoms ..lots of love xx

Hi there so happy.to hear Beth is doing so well a week after her surgery. Getting her hair done will give her such a lift. It's amazing how eating better and just generally feeling better will help with her remaining treatments. I am going to meet surgeon on Tuesday in Edinburgh and will also have a pre op for next surgery. Enjoy your time in Rhodes. Sending lots of love to you and Beth xx
