  • Hi Beaumont44,

I just wanted to say we are thinking of you during this stressful time. I guess the MDT meeting was today and I hope that you get an appointment soon to find out exactly what is going on. It's completely normal to be scared when dealing with all this uncertainty at the moment and after having been through all these tests.

Let us know what you find out - you are not alone though and many members of our community have been through this before and will hopefully come and say hello soon and share their stories with you. While you are waiting, as there is nothing harder than waiting for a diagnosis, I thought I would share with you our helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for news.

    Best wishes,

  • Thankyou for your response , nothing today but hoping a phonecall in the morning x

  • Thankyou yeah I have been mindful of what I'm doing at work and just doing a few hrs ..Hope you're ok sending love xx

  • Ty, yes I am doing better. Just disappointed it takes 25 weeks for results to come back on the 24 biopsies taken. Will be nice to have it conformed 100%.

Waiting on results from bloods, urine tests also, to have fibro scan. I am now thinking my problems may be linked to my liver.

If its OK I will stay on this thread to see how you are all doing. Best wishes to each one of you. Xx

  • Hi how are you and your daughter doing ? How did scans go ? Hope you're all ok lots of love xxx

  • Hi still struggling with thd chemo.  Her scan results came back stable.  Beth was hoping for some news on shrinkage.  She has had a 2 week break as chemo is really making her body struggle.  Next round on Monday.  This is a rollercoaster she is on and no getting off at the moment.  How are you doing? Xx

  • Bless her , yeah I understand the rollercoaster feeling ! Iv been going to a wellbeing place in town its been amazing..im attending hope course at min for 6 wks just looking into what I'v been through etc ..work is fine , beth will beat this too I just you all keep strong ..words I hate to be fair because we have no choice..just keep up the fight ..lots of love xx

  • Hi Beth is having surgery today to have a stoma fitted.  Hopefully this will relieve her symptoms xx

  • Hi anything that helps is good , how does she feel about it ? I suppose it's a daft question because obviously don't want any of this but if it helps her get through it then it's a positive , hope you're keeping ok  ...lots of love xx

  • Hi,  I hope having a stoma fitted will help the symptoms Beth is having. I had a traumatic tme which I am still recovering from. On January 16th I was due to have my third chemotherapy but it was cancelled because of constipation. It was being caused by the tumour blocking my bowel. They attempted to put a stent onto the tumour but 3-4 hours later I was screaming in pain and had a peri arrest and thought I was dying. The stent perforated my bowel and ruptured the tumour. I was told that it was unlikely I would survive. I had my large bowel completely removed and had to have a stoma. I really didn't want it but in reality it has saved my life. Has Beth finished her chemotherapy? Sending hugs and thinking of Beth today. Xx

  • Sorry to hear this must have been so scary.  No she has 3 to go.  Not sure how long she will need to recover before she can have more chemo x

  • Thank you, yes it was the worst thing I've ever been through. It could take 8 weeks initially to recover and they say 3 months full recovery. I'm sure she is strong and fit and will get through this. Please let me know how she is after her operation. Thinking of you and Beth xx
