Hi Beaumont44,
I just wanted to say we are thinking of you during this stressful time. I guess the MDT meeting was today and I hope that you get an appointment soon to find out exactly what is going on. It's completely normal to be scared when dealing with all this uncertainty at the moment and after having been through all these tests.
Let us know what you find out - you are not alone though and many members of our community have been through this before and will hopefully come and say hello soon and share their stories with you. While you are waiting, as there is nothing harder than waiting for a diagnosis, I thought I would share with you our helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for news.
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator

Hi there , so i came in for surgery tue morn, took over an hr to get the spinal injection in my back which was horrid ! Saw stoma nurse got marked up for where the bag would be best for me and went to theatre about 11 came out at 6 , nurse was looking me over and I said to her I'm dreading feeling where stoma is ! She looked at me a bit weird and said you don't have one ! I was over the moon , he basically managed it without ! So hospital for 7 to 10 days on day 6 it's been up and down to say the least ! But had catheter and rectal drain removed so that's better but can't eat until iv seen doc in morn , a week with no food is no fun ! Sorry took so long to get bk to you I've been trying to sleep the days away , how's your daughter getting on ? How are you? Xx
So glad to hear the surgery went well.
Gosh a week without food sounds hard. Do they have you on a dripnor something?
Hope that younare up and about soon and that the procedure proves to have done the trick.
Very best to you.
Great to hear the surgery went well. What a nice surprise to wake up afterwards and find that you didn't have a stoma. An amazing feeling!
A week of no food sounds hard going but they know what they are doing and hopefully you will be home and being able to eat soon.
Take care and get lots of rest so you can recover well.

Hi I am so happy to hear that you got through your operation and great news you did not need a stoma bag. You were so worried too. Fantastic that they have got all the tumour removed and you can now concentrate on your recovery and start to l8ve your life again. So happy for you. Sending big hugs xxx
This is such great news to hear that the procedure was successful and the tumour fully removed.
Wonderful that you are able to rest and get onto the path of recovery.
This news has made my morning.
Hi there how you and your daughter doing ? Not long to scans now , the letter I got after scans only said mild improvement which disheartened me a bit but the doc said it was good so I went with that , will it be 2 wks till results or sooner ? Lots of love xx
Hi how are you? My daughter has scans tomorrow they have booked a follow up appointment for the 3rd feb. Xx hope you are feeling better. Lots of love x
I've still got pain but it's not quite 2 wks after surgery so it's slow , slept better last night tho , hope all goes well tomoro is it ct and mri ? Xxx
Yes she has a ct and mri. Her last chemo was really hard for her but she rang thst bell. I just hope and pray chemo has worked and shrunk the tumour. I was with them Friday and she was good she looked lovely both me and my son said she has put weight on which is good xx
Hoping and praying for good news back from the scans, Nic.
Thank you. Your news sounds positive so please for you. My daughter found chemo tough but she got there. We are anxious about the results from her scans and her surgery. Her tumour is fairly low down so she thinks more than likely will be a stoma bag x
