I just wanted to say we are thinking of you during this stressful time. I guess the MDT meeting was today and I hope that you get an appointment soon to find out exactly what is going on. It's completely normal to be scared when dealing with all this uncertainty at the moment and after having been through all these tests. 

Let us know what you find out - you are not alone though and many members of our community have been through this before and will hopefully come and say hello soon and share their stories with you. While you are waiting, as there is nothing harder than waiting for a diagnosis, I thought I would share with you our helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for news.

Hi there, glad you are feeling a bit better about your operation after speaking with the nurse. I had my 2nd chemotherapy today they have reduced them a little because I only had two good days out of the 12. I felt totally exhausted with zero energy. Good luck on Tuesday and I Hooe everything goes well for you on Tuesday. Stay strong thinking if you and sending hugs.                                   Anne Marie x

I am ok thanks, I think the reducing of  the chemotherapy has helped a bit. I was out today but the weather was so cold and had some sore fingers and throat. It has settled now. Lots of love xxx

Had glucose sachets to take last 2 days and a laxative and antibiotics, also nurse was coming today to give me injection to thin blood at 8 and 6 ..but because of the weather they couldn't get here ! I had to do them myself ! I managed it lol I've to take another glucose sachet in morning at 5 then I'm ready! Not long til your daughter scans is it 20th? Sure all will be good xx

Yes it is the 20th.  So much to do to prepare for the surgery x

I hope you're daughter gets to know what she's facing after scans , I don't know and it's the worst again ! Not knowing if stoma will be permanent or not ..praying tonight it's not xx

Yes I think that’s what I am concerned about she’s so young as well.  She seems more positive about it than me.  She has been amazing through all this xx

Hi there , so i came in for surgery tue morn, took over an hr to get the spinal injection in my back which was horrid ! Saw stoma nurse got marked up for where the bag would be best for me and went to theatre about 11 came out at 6 , nurse was looking me over and I said to her I'm dreading feeling where stoma is ! She looked at me a bit weird and said you don't have one ! I was over the moon , he basically managed it without ! So hospital for 7 to 10 days on day 6 it's been up and down to say the least ! But had catheter and rectal drain removed so that's better but can't eat until iv seen doc in morn , a week with no food is no fun ! Sorry took so long to get bk to you I've been trying to sleep the days away , how's your daughter getting on ? How are you? Xx

Gosh a week without food sounds hard. Do they have you on a dripnor something?

Great to hear the surgery went well. What a nice surprise to wake up afterwards and find that you didn't have a stoma. An amazing feeling! 

A week of no food sounds hard going but they know what they are doing and hopefully you will be home and being able to eat soon.
