Hi all, thankyou for sharing all your experiences...well here goes, it's now my turn...
I'm 59, been on HRT since 2013 and changed to Body identical HRT in 2019. Before we go any further, I suffer with health anxiety, which I normally have under control until I am re triggered by any symptoms.
Anyway, I saw my GP a month ago and was advised to increase my Utrogestan from 100mg to 200mg as I was on 4 pumps of oestrogel. I asked if I could go onto patches which I have tried before GP agreed.
Last Wednesday folleing a lovely long walk with my husband, on return I was greeted by scanty brown watery discharge in the pants, like the beginning or end of a period. Naturally my health anxiety rocketed and I got a GP out of hours advice...she arranged next day with my normal GP appointment. Next day, GP took a swab. This has come back normal as of yesterday. GP tried to refer me to Gynae but the referral was rejected I was told I must stop my HRT for 6 weeks before going on the 2 week wait urgent referral.
GP has contacted Gynaecologist and I emailed a complaint into the complaints dept and now it seems a conversation is occurring between hospital and GP.
In the meantime I have arranged an Ultrasound privately as my last one was November where my endometrium was 3.6mm, some fibroids seen, (noted years ago). All else was normal.
But I was never told to stop my HRT for that Ultrasound or any other one...so I'm naturally very cross about this, not only for me but other patients too.
The brown watery discharge with dark stringy mucousy has continued daily (sorry if this is TMI!!).
Dr's hypothesis still continues to wager the HRT change rather than a pathology at this stage. Health anxious hypothesis all else.
Any rate, I have been offered another US with the private menopause specialist clinic.
It's just all this waiting sucks.
If any of you are still with me, I would appreciate your support, words, and anything to help me on my journey. Naturally I will update you as I get more information so I can be of help to any of you that are in a similar boat.
Thank you for reading my story so far.
