The waiting is agony and it's really affecting me. I'm waking up in a panic throughout the night.
How long do people wait for biopsy results?

Hi Sean,
Unfortunately, sleeplessness seems to go with the territory of cancer treatment. The three factors you mention all have a definite impact on how quickly we get our results. It sounds as if you have quite a journey ahead of you - I hope that it all goes well. It sounds as if you are attending some well respected hospitals and you are fortunate that everything has started so quickly. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on and remember that we are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
HI BoBoPink,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I hope that you get your results soon.

I’m down in Plymouth our local hospital keeps being blacklisted for waiting times but unsure if they do it there or Exeter as average waiting times for non urgent are 28 days and I’ve gone past that now! Sorry to hear that yours wasn’t good news, I haven’t really been told much except it was a 1-2cm polyp in the sigmoid and that’s it
Thank you, my gp chased without me contacting them so in think they’re also wondering where the results are too! xx
Hi BoBoPink,
I'm glad to hear that your GP has chased this up. Here's hoping that this gets things moving.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi jolamine
I had my first course of chemotherapy on Monday five hours worth now at Wednesday evening and not a single side effect although I am told they should kick in next week?!
Hi Sean,
Thank you for the update. I am delighted to hear that you haven't had any side-effects from your chemo. They do tend to kick in, the further into your journey you are, but some people get by with few effects, so here's hoping that you are one of the lucky ones!
Kind regards,
Jolamine
Hi Sean,

Hi Sean,
Thank you for the update. I'm delighted to hear that you've had no side-effects so far. They do tend to kick in, a little further along your chemo journey, but some people have no adverse effects. Some people sail through with very few effects, so here's hoping that you'll be one of the lucky ones.
