Well had a mare of a morning. I only slept in for my pre op assessment this morning. I went anyway thinking I would rebook if possible but bless them they let me have my pre op assessment anyway. Now I just have to wait u til next Tuesday for my hysteroscopy. I find myself being fine for a little while then the anxiety piles in along with all the what if’s. Good luck to everyone who has their hysteroscopies this week. I’ll be thinking of you xx

Thank goodness they fitted you in. What a relief. I know what you mean about being fine and then not. I started to listen to a podcast about how to tell children someone has cancer and it properly set me off. I’m really worried they notice I’m bleeding. They know I’ve been stopped since my youngest was born 12 years ago so it would raise questions. I want to wait til I know for certain what I’m telling them and what they means for our plans over the school holidays. Sending lots of luck to everyone having tests and waiting for results. xx

I’m just out of my hysteroscopy which was fine as I took gas and air before and during so was nicely zoned out thank goodness. I also took paracetamol and ibuprofen about 30 mins before my appointment. The doctor told me that she could see no sign of cancer. The sample still has to be sent off and tested but she wasn’t concerned at all she said. I’m hugely relieved.  Thanks all for the reassurance along the way and support. Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for those still waiting tests or treatment. xx

I had mine today too I’ve also been told that there was no sign of cancer. I didn’t have gas and air as it makes me feel so sick so I had local anaesthetic. I only went to my gp last Thursday so in a week I’ve had scans and a Hysteroscopy! Just goes to show that a lot of these tests are just precautionary so that should give others some hope x

Scarycat, you’re right about our bodies doing strange things. Still don’t know why I am having the spotting but perhaps they’ll say something when I get the biopsy results - they said 3-4 weeks.

Excellent news RoseTree and Kaylinn! You must both feel so relieved.  And I’m glad you both survived the hysteroscopy. I have received the letter today from my initial internal scan which says the lining of my womb is 20mm which I thinks puts me at significant risk of cancer. I hadn’t wanted to know that piece of information so didn’t ask at the initial appointment. Hysteroscopy is on Monday so a weekend of worry lies ahead….! 

Have a virtual hug from me Wiseowl1.I hope you manage to have some time over the weekend to relax. Have a large glass of whatever you fancy. Take some comfort from knowing that at least you will know on Monday ,more or less, and the waiting will be over.We are all here for you x

Thank you Gran21. I’ll try and keep busy over the weekend. I do know at least  that whatever it is, I have caught it early. As you say, once I know more on Monday, I can deal with the facts rather than all the second guessing I’m doing. The virtual hug is very gratefully received thank you! X 

Try not to worry and over think things. I was diagnosed with womb cancer in April but the speed in which everything was dealt with was second to none. I was told that if anyone is going to get a cancer diagnosis, womb cancer is the better type of cancer to get as it is very treatable. I had womb cancer and had robotic surgery as they did a full hysterectomy. I was discharged the next day. Thankfully I’m doing ok and will have 4 sessions of radiation starting next week. I wish you all the very best going forward. 

Try not to worry even though I know that’s easier said than done. If it isn’t what you want to hear they will get you sorted quickly I’m sure. It is a cancer that can be cured. Good luck for Monday and what ever follows for you  x

RoseTree, can't remember your history, but if you're like me it might be to do with change in HRT, but the rest would be to second guess.  Us women are contrary creatures!! And so are some of our Doctors!!!

Yes good luck, please try to stay positive  and have good people around you for support. You’ll need it. I had fantastic support so I believe it really helped my recovery.
