thanks for this group I have had a long long battle trying to find out what’s wrong with me, I keep getting really sharp pains low in my abdomen, rectal bleeding for a couple of weeks and have done for nearly 4 years now , after many doctor appointments I have finally got a colonoscopy booked.
these appear to be severe attacks of sharp high pain and low in my gut bowel area, at the start they were in the middle just above my pubic bone, and hurt literally agonising pain, now it’s shifted to the left a little and not as bad as couple of years ago.
normally after a couple of weeks of discomfort everything returns back completely to normal and I await the next bout, so normal it’s as if nothing has been happening and I use the toilet less frequently and go once a day with no pain or blood present
i had a fit test with a result of 200ug and have now been referred, a couple of doctors have suggested diverticulitis
any thoughts would be appreciated am quite worried
