Hello Jayne7, 

I am so sorry to hear you are going through all these investigations at the moment and this 2 week wait for the CT scan can feel agonisingly long as many members of our community will know only too well. It is often then followed by more time waiting for results and it can really be had to cope with the uncertainty and the feeling of being in limbo that goes with it. 

Luckily there are good strategies and ways to manage this difficult time of waiting for tests and results and we have helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.  

I hope these will help you a little and that you will also hear from others here who have been through something similar.

Good luck for Tuesday. I’m thinking of you and your sons. This is such a hard time. I hope you have good family and friends to give you support. I rang the MacMillan nurse helpline on Saturday and they were so helpful. The cancer research uk one is closed over the bank holiday but they are open all through. I found them so positive and she gave me lots of positivity. 

Thanks Jayne. Thinking of you too. Waiting 2 weeks seems a bit much, but hopefully you’ll find there’s nothing serious. I’ll call McMillan as soon as I have some quiet time. Good luck.
