Good morning all.
On Friday I had a failed Colonoscopy, due to pain they had to abort it, it was the most painful thing I have ever done and had two children with no pain relief. The consultant doing the scan seemed exasperated at not being about to complete the scan and no matter what position I was in he couldn't get through but put the paperwork that it was aborted due to it being uncomfortable. He said he would refer me for a CT scan or the bowel and just walked out the room.
The nurses were great but feel like I have been left down badly. This is a 2ww appointment (cancelled once so currently 4 weeks from referral) no idea how long I will wait for CT scan.
Now super anxious thinking there was something blocking it getting through.
The nurse before had told me there was no nerve endings in the bowel so wouldn't feel a biopsy, so why did I find it so painful?
Sorry, I know no one can answer these questions really and read other people having similar experiences on here, but can't see many follow up posts about how they got on.
Has anyone got any words of encouragement, am loosing my mind here.
Thank you all and I wish everyone reading this the best outcomes on their journeys.
Jenny
