denial: due to have a colonoscopy but I ignored phone call to arrange it

HI, this may sound selfish or silly but I don't want to accept the fact that I may have bowel cancer,, I am due to have a colonoscopy but I ignored the phone call from the hospital to arrange it,, has anyone else felt like this ,if so, what did you do ?

    Ignoring it will not make it go away, its nothing to worry about the worst part is the bowel cleansing, the sooner you get it done the sooner you will have the answers, and the longer you leave it the worst it will get ( thats if it is bowel cancer it could be something could be something completely innocent)
