Good morning,, I've just had a telephone consultation, I was told my fit test came back at 200. is this a bad sign ? I have to have a colonoscopy in the next 2 weeks, any advice ? x
I too have been referred for a 2WW colonoscopy, mine is on Tuesday. I am so scared! My fit test was positive at 400! My faecal calprotectin was negative so I do not have IBD so even more worrying! what are your symptoms? I have a lot of abdominal pain, acid reflux, severe bloating, belching, change in bowel habit and coccyx pain. good luck for your colonoscopy!
Hi LIsa, sorry that you too are in a similar situation,, I hope your colonoscopy goes ok,, I wish I had never been to the doctors in the first place as I cant sleep or eat with worry,, I don't have any symptoms apart from a feeling that I have something fizzy in my stomach and slight changes in my bowel habit, :( let me know how you get on love xx
Hi Lisa my FIT tests were 112, 129 and now over 200 so going up all the time. My calorotectin was borderline at 93 so not sure what that means exactly. I also have bowel wall thickening so that’s worrying too and just found out my nan had colon cancer so even more worrying! I have stomach pains occasionally but I feel more worried about the high fit test, bowel thickening and family history of colon cancer. I’m waiting for a date for my colonoscopy - good luck on Tuesday - let us know how it goes x
Hi Lisa well I was referred under the 2ww and saw a consultant first. He did a quick camera check and found I have bowel wall thickening so said I need to have colonoscopy to check. I have other symptoms as well so I’m soooo scared like you. I haven’t got my date yet - was hoping to was by now. Well it’s good you have yours tomorrow - at least you’ll have some answers by tomorrow. It’s horrible though isn’t it - it’s in my mind 24/7 - all I can think of. I’m sure you will be fine. Oh bless you, I totally know how you’re feeling! I haven’t been sleeping well due to the worry. I really hope you get your date soon! It’s a shame you had to see a consultant first as it’s caused you a delay in colonoscopy hasn’t it. I haven’t had to see a consultant, I have gone straight to c olonoscopy.
