Good morning,, I've just had a telephone consultation, I was told my fit test came back at 200. is this a bad sign ? I have to have a colonoscopy in the next 2 weeks, any advice ? x
I too have been referred for a 2WW colonoscopy, mine is on Tuesday. I am so scared! My fit test was positive at 400! My faecal calprotectin was negative so I do not have IBD so even more worrying! what are your symptoms? I have a lot of abdominal pain, acid reflux, severe bloating, belching, change in bowel habit and coccyx pain. good luck for your colonoscopy!
Hi LIsa, sorry that you too are in a similar situation,, I hope your colonoscopy goes ok,, I wish I had never been to the doctors in the first place as I cant sleep or eat with worry,, I don't have any symptoms apart from a feeling that I have something fizzy in my stomach and slight changes in my bowel habit, :( let me know how you get on love xx

Hi every one I’ve been passing gas with blood and loose stools I thought maybe I had internal piles but it’s been going on a while now I went to see the doctor the other day so I had a rectal examination doctor says she can’t feel any piles so I’m really worried as where the bright red blood is coming from I’ve just sent a FIT test off so awaiting for that. But I’m dreading having a colonoscopy it’s taken over every thing my mind tells me I have rectal or colon cancer I can’t eat and sleep I’ve got stress and anxiety
Hi, I’m waiting for my FIT test and another. I’ve been having a change in bowel movements and some small red blood spots when wiping. I’m really worried and I’m feeling the same as you. It’s on my mind all the time and I’m not being a pleasant person at the moment as I can’t seem to focus on anything other than worrying. My dad had bowel cancer the other year (and is absolutely fine by the way!!) x
Hi despite your symptoms its still much more likely that its not cancer and that its something far less sinister ,there are many other simple explanations than it being this ,I do know the natural thing is to worry until you know the results I was the same and I've had 2 Colonoscopies both times it was something much less than I was thinking .Its good that you are now dealing with it .
I know this is from a while ago, but just wondering how you got on? I’m in a similar situation and FIT test came back >200. Waiting to have colonoscopy x
Ceb49 hi sorry to hear your in the same situation I was in I know my condition was a while ago I had a colonoscopy and I was told right away I had colon rectal cancer I had a large tumour well I thought my world had ended. But I’ve been lucky I had my tumour removed in April this year and a resection I was only in hospital five days then I came home they took 22 limph nodes away and all tested negative my cancer hadn’t spread it stayed within the bowel I had key hole surgery all went really good I’m cancer free as they said the cancer was in a good spot to take it out. I didn’t need chemo I’m so thankful. I really hope all goes well for you. If you want to ask any thing I’m here xx
Thank you for replying. That’s brilliant that they have managed to remove it all for you. I have a CT scan tomorrow and then they can’t get me in for colonoscopy until 3 weeks today. At least I can get some results from the CT tomorrow x
MargaretMary. Thank you hope every thing is going well for you. I’m nearly 7 month post operative and feeling really well. My bowels feel a little different after the resection but it’s ok I’ve a lot to be thankful for they told me if I hadn’t done anything about the cancer I had 12 month to live but every thing went better than I expected Lots of love to you xx
