The NHS is pretty Quick regarding cancer , i went to my GP on the 21st of December, i had all the tests ( having a fit test , seeing a consultant, having a colonoscopy, having a CT scan, and having an operation on the 11th of march ) bearing in mind that we had the Christmas and new year in between that as well .

I wish you well. The scans were quick but since then we have heard nothing. My GP has been in touch with Urology - nothing. Our original appointment was cancelled. MDT will be two weeks this week

Could it be they are not overly concerned with what they have found with the scans ? Do you have another appointment yet ? 
my MDT meet every week and they ring me on the same day with there course of action

I don’t think that is the case. I am aware that sometimes a patient might only get a few minutes discussion in an MDT. We did have a phone call with a consultant who mentioned a biopsy but since then nothing. I feel happier that we have the private appointment in place.

Yeah you want to get to the bottom of it ASP, let’s hope you end up having a positive outcome, fingers crossed

Hopefully we will find out soon. I don’t think that the wait times mean anything. As I said previously the initial scans were quick. We then fell out of the system because our NHS consultation was cancelled. A locum consultant rang us and mentioned a biopsy. We were told of the MDT meeting on 17th March. Since then there has been no contact. I have tried ringing Urology and left messages and also my GP has written an urgent letter. So it isn’t for want of trying. We have the private consultation on the 10th April.
