I had my hospital ENT appt today, and I am still non the wiser.  I have got to wait for another urgent referral for an US & biopsy on my right node as the hospital said the location of that one is what they are worried about.  Once US has been done they will then decide whether they need to biospy those or not too.   So yeah, more waiting.... 

That’s what I had Jessica and they decided to biopsy on the day. I didn’t have ENT first though just the US and biopsy appointment. Hope the appointment comes quickly as there will be more waiting for biopsy results afterwards xx

I haven’t really had any other symptoms apart from the enlarged lymph nodes and the slightly enlarged thyroid on the right side.   I do have a pea size lymph node on neck above right side of collarbone, however my large one is just above that on same side so still towards the lower part of my neck.   I also have two lymph nodes on the left side of my neck towards the top and one of those is slightly to the back.  My US biopsy is going to be on the right side next week as that’s what the ent doc had concerns about.  They will also take biopsy from the left side if they feel they look suspicious from the US on the day x 

Hopefully it doesn’t take too long to get your results once that’s done. How are you feeling about it all? I feel like I’ve got to a strange state of acceptance and indifference right now even though I don’t have a diagnosis yet xx

I’m exactly the same.  I felt at the beginning I was really stressed about it and getting myself all worked up, but I’m at the point now I just want answers no matter what they may be x 

It’s weird how all this fear and worry messes with you. I think I will still cry if I get bad news on Tuesday because it will hit like a ton of bricks, but like you say I just want to know now xx

That’s so long… I hate the idea of having to wait a couple more weeks, but it is what is I guess.  Did they say what they thought it looked like from the US x 

I know it feels like forever! No they were very unsure. He said because of my family history of cancer he wanted to send it off to be sure. That was his biggest concern, the number of women who have had breast cancer in my family at a similar age to me xx

Good luck ladies. The wait is so hard. I have just over two weeks to go to hear my results, although as I’ve been thinking it is some sort of lymphoma with the speed my enlarged lymph nodes have grown and the all over body itching (which is driving me mad!) then I’m calmer and more resigned to it now than a couple of weeks ago when I kept crying. It’ll still be a shock if it is but also not a shock at the same time, if that makes sense. 

Sounds like you’re exactly where I am with your feelings! It brings comfort to know you’re not alone and that other people understand how you’re feeling. 
Can I just ask how old are you both and do you have kids? I’m 36 with a 4 year old and 2 year old so my biggest upset at the moment is leaving them whilst they’re too young to have decent memories of me xx

I completely understand! I’m 37 with a 5yr old and completely share your fear. I’m trying not to think about that, because being calmer about the fact that this probably is lymphoma is manageable but when I think about my 5yr old the calm feeling goes out the window so I keep trying to put that far from my mind, but it’s hard until you know what you are dealing with.

Oh bless you do you feel it too. That’s the problem is that thought creeps in every so often and that’s when I break down. Hopefully these kids have got many more years to put up with us! Xx
