Worried it could be anal cancer

I'm so worried I may have anal cancer . I've been constipated on and off for over a year now with one and off bleeding . I had a colonoscopy done in Jan 23 as the FIT test come back high . The colonoscopy showed diverticular disease and internal hemorrhoids.  Since beginning of Jan this year I've had painful BM with bleeding and the pain would last all day .Gp said anal fissure but I've tried diet change and creams but still no better . I'm now currently have a feeling of a lump inside there and I'm so worried this could be anal cancer . Could anyone help ??

    I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms, but the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor, so this is something Cancer Chat can't help with. I'd encourage you to speak to your doctor if your symptoms change or you feel further tests are needed. Your colonoscopy showed diverticular disease and there's information on the NHS website on diverticular disease and diverticulitis, which I hope might be useful to you.

    I’m dealing with a situation similar to this. Waited 2 years for an appointment for a sigmoid colonoscopy which couldn’t be done on the day (last week) as they identified a lump which was sinister and had been there for a significant amount of time. Since then I was taken in for biopsy’s and have a CT scan and MRI to be done by Tuesday next week. Hoping the results will be relayed to us quickly. 
    mid you are concerned then I would suggest that you discuss it with your gp again.
