Suspected Breast Cancer

Have appointment after a 2W referral suspect breast.

GP says I have thickening on my left breast & I found a couple of lumps & a pea shaped one in my armpit on the right side.

Now worried sick at the diagnosis & prognosis. I have 2 children & a single parent.

What will they do at the appointment & how do you deal with the worry of everything?

  • Hi Cornish mum, I just wanted to wish you all the best with the appointment. I was called back to the breast clinic a year ago and had a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy on the day and the results back a couple of weeks later. The team at the breast clinic were extremely kind and knowledgeable. I hope it all goes well for you and turns out to be nothing sinister. It is impossible not to worry - we're only human! - but most referrals turn out to be nothing sinister.
