Suspected Breast Cancer

Have appointment after a 2W referral suspect breast.

GP says I have thickening on my left breast & I found a couple of lumps & a pea shaped one in my armpit on the right side.

Now worried sick at the diagnosis & prognosis. I have 2 children & a single parent.

What will they do at the appointment & how do you deal with the worry of everything?

  • Welcome to Cornishmum75.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

At the appointment, they'll likely perform tests to diagnose the issue. To deal with worry it might be a good idea to focus on other things if possible.

Hopefully, others who have had similar experiences will come along shortly to offer some insight and advice. Alternatively, if you feel like asking some questions to our team of nurses, they'd be happy to chat with you Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.

Remember, it's okay to feel scared, but focusing on positive coping strategies can help ease your mind.

Once you know more, please come back and give us an update if you find a moment. We're keeping our fingers crossed for you.
