I am sorry to hear about your concerns. Although this may sound frightening, this is fairly normal for any referral to the breast clinic. Most are referred under the urgent, 2 week pathway too, so try not to panic. Not all lumps are cancerous. Many turn out to be benign cysts, Fibroadenoma, or due to hormonal changes. It is a fact that only 20% of those referred to the breast clinic will get a cancer diagnosis.

I hope that you don't have too long to wait for your appointment and that nothing untoward is found.

Hi, I have just been through the same and I'm glad the GP did as I have been diagnosed with breast cancer, it's a worrying time but worth it either way, two weeks is better than 6 months, wish you good health xx
