Hysteroscopy tomorrow and worried

I am having a hysteroscopy done tomorrow morning and am terrified of the outcome. A week ago I had an internal ultrasound due to some odd spotting before Christmas. I am perimenopausal so still get periods fairly regularly. The scan picked up a heterogeneous solid lesion on cervix which she said could be a degenerating fibroid or polypoidal mass. She asked at the time if I had ever been told about fibroids which I hadn't. Anyway she wasn't happy about the way it looked so has referred me under the 2 week scheme. Just reaching out to anyone who may have been they something similar.

  • Hello Snj15 ,

sorry to hear your story . I was in my 50s and on HRT patches for years,I started spotting and was referred to gynaecologist. They did the hysteroscopy , which wasn’t pleasant ,as they pump water into you . It wasn’t painful though . A fibroid showed up which was removed and no problems since .
At least they are investigating, see what they find and take one step at a time .xxx
