I flagged a dubious mole that seems to have changed (always been weird) to my GP before Christmas. Refered for dermoscope images, then saw a dermatologist earlier this month. Yesterday they removed it and have sent it for biopsy.
I know, most of the time, there is nothing too wrong. But I am anxious as hell. Not helped by the fact that I won't get a response any time soon as they said it can take between 6 and 12 weeks for a result at the moment!
I'm due back to work from mat leave soon (baby is 6 months old). I am wondering if it might be wise to ask work if I can have some SPL after a short time back (you have to give 8 weeks notice). It won't be paid. But I am really not holding up well mentally. And, if there is something wrong I want to try and save the paid leave I am allowed for as long as possible.
