Hi Nicola and welcome, I am sorry that you are frightened and can understand why you don't want to upset your family and friends about something that hasn't been diagnosed. Nicola everyone gets scared with the thought they may have cancer and often fear the worst even without a diagnosis, i have a few years in cancer care but i am not an expert so would never tell someone they have cancer, though from the one piece of information you provided cancer would not be be near the top of my list of causes. please take care.
