  • Hi Hattie65, I hope you are doing well.

Just wondering if you had your hysteroscopy and how it went.

I had a laparotomy surgery for ovarian cancer in December 2023 during which they found a polyp in my womb. Later on the biopsy confirmed it was cancer and I was diagnosed with Womb cancer Stage 1A grade 1. My doctor put me on hormonal therapy as I want to preserve my fertility and he inserted a mirena IUD as well.

Furthermore, I will have a hysteroscopy/biopsy every 3 months to make sure the treatment is effective. My hysteroscopy is planned for the 22nd of Avril which I am scared of.

I would be grateful for any information you provide Xx

  • Hi, I had a general anaesthetic, which I would definitely recommend for polypectomy, I only had slight spotting for a couple of days afterwards and minimal pain. I honestly wouldn't worry about having hysterscopy. Good luck x
